Struggling with the upcoming back to school, start of kindy, start of high school, change of school, a new daycare, a new year of working, job changing, moving back towards working in the office and the commute, changes to your share of custody. It can all feel so overwhelming when it's multiple change or even just the smallest change. What helps you get through this? Do you have a plan in place to keep you sane, to help with your struggle?
Have you thought about talking to a therapist, a psychologist, does your work offer a counselling service? Your GP can assist with suggestions of what's available and also is a good place to start in the support journey. Do you have a Divorce coach? Do you have a support group from your family and friends around you? Have you thought about alternative therapies. There is no right answer and no one glove fits everyone. As with your separation, divorce and new single life journey all and any one of these options can help support and coach you through this time and the many changes that are taking place around you and that you are adjusting to you.
Change on one hand can be so dramatic, so immediate and feel so overwhelming but it also takes time to get used to change and having a great support team around you can be so beneficial.
Give this some thought and please take the opportunity to review your needs and support team. You deserve it and it might just make the difference so put in place a support team to nurture and help you through this time.
